A CAIRNS online business specialising in soccer, AFL and rugby boots has kicked a winning goal.



When he returned to Australia and played football for North Cairns, he was shocked by the price of football boots and saw his chance to undercut the competition.



When the business began last July, Mr Jorgensen was selling a few pairs of shoes a week. Eight months later he is selling 150 pairs a week.



But who counting?



Shopify, that who. In combined sales, these budding businesses sold more than $12 million in products during the competition period.



Before starting up his business, uggs uk outlet Mr Jorgensen studied Commerce at Deakin University and managed the security and fraud department of an online poker site.



"Selling online gets you bigger reach, more potential customers and the cost of entry is much less," he said.



"It so cheap to set up a website. With shopify it only 30 bucks a month for a small range of products, but I on a more expensive plan now because I selling more than 1000 different pairs of shoes."



Mr Jorgensen said he would consider a retail outlet in the future but at the moment the online environment suits cheap ugg boots his business model.



"It allows me to keep my operating costs low. It also gives me a chance to sell a much bigger range of shoes because I not holding the stock as such," he said.
